To exist is to change, to change is to mature, and to mature is to progress in life in all angles. In my 27 years to stay in this planet earth, I've learned that life without self-examination and self-evaluation is like a boxer punching the air!Below are the 13 tips which I have learned from the famous great man of America, Benjamin Franklin. Dear readers, I strongly believe if you'd only faithfully follow its precept, it can assist and help you to reach the heights of your potential and success in life!1. Temperance. Eat not to dullness. Drink not to elevation.2. Silence. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself. Avoid trifling conversation.3. Order. Let all your things have their places. Let each part of your business have its time.4. Resolution. Resolve to perform what you ought. Perform without fail what you resolve.5. Frugality. Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; example, waste nothing.6. Industry. Lose no time. Be always employed in something useful. Cut off all unnecessary actions.7. Sincerity. Use no hurtful deceit. Think innocently and justly; and if you speak, speak accordingly.8. Justice. Wrong none by doing injuries or omitting the benefits that are your duty.9. Moderation. Avoid extremes. Forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserved.10. Cleanliness. Tolerate no uncleanness in body, clothes or habits.11. Tranquility. Be not disturbed at trifles or at accidents common or unavoidable.12. Chastity. Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness, or theinjury of your own or another's peace or reputation.13. Humility. Imitate Jesus Christ and Socrates. Before I will conclude my article, Dwight Moody, a great preacher of America reminds you, Forget your reputation but nurture your character. For your character will cover and protect your reputation!Wish you many blessings to come and God Bless!Moises Padin ReconallaAbout The AuthorMoises Padin Reconalla finished his Bachelor's degree in History and Minor in Political Science at Adventist University of the Philippines.
