Too much stress on a creative soul and some creative people just go haywire and cannot seem to keep it going. So, lets discuss Creativity and Full Court Press and the theory of Thinking Under Pressure. Perhaps you have noticed a very creative people cannot seem to do their work when there's a lot of people and commotion around.Even worse when you put them under pressure they cannot create anything and it is as if they never could. But that is not the problem, as we know they can create stuff because that's what they do for a living. They have simply convince themselves that they cannot create anything when too much is going on around them. However if you watch someone on a debate team, then you know there is a lot going on and they have to get really creative very fast to put it all together and they don't seem to have a problem under pressure? So it appears that creativity and thinking under pressure is a learned trait, talent and skill. In fact if more creative people would apply themselves and work and practice thinking under pressure then they would not have the problem. Now this is not to say that creative people are lazy, although some might be, what I am saying is that you can think under pressure and under a full-court press and get the ball to your man so he can slam dunk the ball. For those that believe that they cannot think under pressure they are probably right, but that is only because they have convinced themselves through negative biofeedback that they can't think and create under stress. This simply is not so, as people can think under pressure and they do it all the time and some of the most creative people are very good thinking under pressure, so with practice you too can be creative under a full-court press and maximum pressure. Please consider all this in 2006.Lance Winslow, a retired entrepreneur, adventurer, modern day philosopher and perpetual tourist.
